A website for tourism, travel and transport practitioners in Wales
Early in 2004, following completion of the STTW Phase 2 campaign and in the wake of the foot and mouth outbreak in Wales, members of the STTW management group volunteered to form a Task and Finish Group to bring forward a Phase 3 Strategy.
Terms of reference were that the strategy had to demonstrate lessons learnt from Phases 1 & 2 and for this knowledge to be applied to long-term sustainable activity resulting in hard economic outcomes.
Research findings that may have become overlooked with the passage of time, and any new findings from contemporary research also needed to be borne in mind, together with the original STTW Campaign Objectives.
