1 MISSIONS, AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1.1 Do you agree broadly with the missions, aims and objectives of the strategy as set out on page 4?
These are supported.
1.2 Are there any issues that you feel have not been adequately covered?
It would be helpful to focus on the need to integrate the various sectors of public transport, also to encourage ‘through ticketing’.

2 PROPOSED WORK PACKAGES
2.1 Do you agree broadly with the nine work packages set out in Table 1 on page 8?
The work packages proposed are broadly supported, however, their achievement will depend upon effective partnerships, information dissemination/ sharing and funding.
2.2 Are there any issue that you feel are not adequately covered by the work packages?
The need for integrated transport services should be highlighted.

3 KEY OUTCOMES
3.1 Do you believe that the target outcomes shown on page 3 are achievable?
N/C
3.2 Are there any additional outcomes that you feel need consideration?
The Freedom of Wales Flexi Pass was a very progressive and innovative initiative. It needs to be promoted and marketed in a coordinated and effective manner.

4 OPTIONS AND PRIORITIES
4.1 Do you agree broadly with the options and priorities laid out in Table 4 on pages 12–18?
The options and priorities in Table 4 are broadly supported.
4.2 Are there any options and priorities that you feel may have been overlooked?
Product Development: Dissemination of good practice is an essential element of any sustainable transport initiative.
Local Cycle Routes: The Action Plan should recognise that for tourism to be sustainable it must be acceptable to local ‘host’ communities. If such routes are considered ‘user-friendly’ to locals then they should also be ‘user-friendly’ to visitors.
Promotion and Information: Transport Corridor Priorities: Local Authorities already work very closely with Community Rail Officers in tourism development/ marketing.

5 CONCLUSION
5.1 Are you in general agreement with the conclusion reached on page 7?
Agree there are opportunities to produce a ‘step change’ in the visitor use of sustainable transport in Wales. Particularly agree with the benefits outlined in Bullet points 2 (enhanced visitor enjoyment). 4 (less environmental damage) and 5 (more sustainable transport for communities).
5.2 Are there any significant issues that you feel remain unaddressed in reaching this conclusion?
The conclusion needs to reflect the fact that the WTB is now part of Welsh Assembly Government. Development and promotion of sustainable transport needs a strong commitment from Welsh Assembly Government and Central UK Government to influence visitor choice in favour of public transport.

6 ADDITIONAL OBSERVATIONS
Please feel free to provide any additional comments:
The conclusion should indicate how STTW will be funded.
